Why NHC?

As the area's only K2 - 12 Classical Christian school,

we focus not only on what children learn, but who they are becoming.

A PLACE TO FLOURISH

At NHC, the parents and faculty of over 300 students are cultivating strong minds and tender hearts. We are a community dedicated to both scholarship and discipleship, to the education of both mind and heart, and we desire to continue to partner with parents who want the same—parents who are:

  • Pointing their children to Christ at home and at church.
  • Interested in a school that prioritizes the shepherding of hearts and academic rigor.
  • Eager to be part of a community of faith and learning, where relationships with faculty, staff, students, and other parents are valued.
  • Committed to engaging with all aspects of their children’s academic work: valuing the content, seeking help when it is needed, and staying connected to teachers.

Please look at the information available on our website, particularly the Portrait of a Graduate and overview of classical education. If the description above sounds like you and you're intrigued about what this education would mean for your family, NHC might be just the school you are looking for! We hope that you will fill out an inquiry form and and schedule a meeting so that you can learn more about our school.

We are thankful for your interest and look forward to continuing this important conversation.

Mr. Josh Elmore

Head of School

IS NHC RIGHT FOR OUR FAMILY?

If you're wondering whether NHC might be the right school for your family, here are some good indicators that you should request information and schedule a tour:

  • Faith

We intentionally point our children to Christ at home and through active involvement in a local church.

  • Priorities

We are interested in being a school that prioritizes the shepherding of hearts, not just academic rigor.

  • Relationships

We want to be part of a community of faith and learning where relationships with faculty, staff, students, and other parents are valued.

  • Engagement

We are committed to engaging with all aspects of our children’s academic work: valuing the content, helping with homework, seeking help when it is needed, and staying connected to teachers.

Enrollment in the school should not be considered if one's lifestyle is not in accordance with the school's code of behavior and doctrinal statements. Students whose lifestyle ceases to be in compliance with the school's expectations during their time at NHC will be asked to withdraw or will not be permitted to re-enroll in the school for another year.
