EduCare Program - Licensed Preschool Facility

NHC is proud to be a Licensed 1 daycare facility, offering part-time and full-day care for two, three, and four-year-old children. Our program focuses on creating a strong foundation for your child's educational journey, helping them develop into good students and preparing them for future learning. Many of our four-year old students are reading before they even reach kindergarten.

We offer a secure facility ensuring your child’s safety with magnetic locking doors, security screens on all ground-level doors and windows and key-card entry. The facility includes access to a gymnasium and an outdoor, gated playground—making playtime both fun and secure.

Three and Four-Year-Old Academic Program

The EduCare faculty at NHC is dedicated to preparing your child for the classroom. While academic learning is key, our main priority is helping preschoolers develop essential skills such as listening, attending well, and self-discipline. We aim to have your child ready to be a successful student in a fun, structured setting.

Core Elements of the EduCare Program:

• Academic Instruction: Students are introduced to key concepts such as letters, numbers, phonics, writing, reading, computers, and even foreign languages.
  
• Phonics and Reading: Students learn to sound out the alphabet, read phonics blends, recognize small words, and begin reading short stories.
  
• Mathematics: Students count and write numbers from 1-100.
  
• Community Helpers: Students learn about important figures in their community, such as firefighters, state troopers, and medical workers.
  
• Social Skills: Preschoolers practice working and playing with peers, raising their hands when they have a question, walking in organized lines, and addressing adults respectfully (“Yes, ma’am”/“Yes sir”).
  

Classroom Sizes & Ratios:

Class sizes are determined by age group ratios to ensure the highest level of care and instruction:

• K2 (2-year-olds): 10:1 ratio
• K3 (3-year-olds): 12:1 ratio
• K4 (4-year-olds): 14:1 ratio

NHC offers multiple classes for each age group, but space is limited. Classes tend to fill quickly, so we recommend getting on our waiting list as soon as possible.
