TN Accord Kids Scholarship Granting Organization

Beginning January 1, 2027, the Working Families Tax Cuts Act will make it easier for families to access more education options. Under the new law, individuals can receive a federal tax credit of up to $1,700 when they donate to an approved Scholarship Granting Organization, or SGO. These nonprofit organizations then use those donations to provide scholarships to eligible K–12 students. Families can use the scholarships for a variety of education-related expenses, including private school tuition and fees, tutoring, classroom supplies, and certain services for students with disabilities. The goal is to give families more flexibility in choosing and paying for the educational opportunities that best meet their child’s needs. Because Kentucky has opted into the program, eligible families in Kentucky will be able to benefit from these scholarship opportunities beginning in 2027. Through the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools, our accreditation association, we have partnered with Tennessee Accord Kids to service our school. Watch this video to learn more.
