WHAT GRADE LEVELS ARE OFFERED?
K3-12th Grade

HOW MANY STUDENTS ATTEND NHCS?
We have approximately 500 students currently enrolled.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER CLASS?
Grades K-5: 20-25
Grades 6-8: Varies, but averages 20-25

IS THE SCHOOL ACCREDITED?
Yes, NHCS was recently awarded the highest educational accreditation through Cognia, AACS, and TACS. NHC is also certified by the Kentucky Department of Education.

DO YOUR TEACHERS HAVE A TEACHING CREDENTIAL?
Yes. All Kindergarten - 12th grade teachers must be certified or working towards certification through TACS.

WHEN DOES SCHOOL START?
8:10 am – 2:40 pm

WHAT IS THE COST OF TUITION?
The annual tuition is currently $5,000 for K3-5th Grade. 6th-11th Grade is $5,150. 12th Grade is $5,400. K3/K4 Half-Day tuition is $4,500. Tuition can be paid in 10, 11, or 12 monthly installment payments. There is a discount for more than one child. This does include books, technology, and security fees.

IS FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE?
Yes. NHCS now has limited financial aid available when funds are available. Financial Aid may be applied for at www.factsmgt.com. Financial Aid awards will be determined by the funding available and the need of the family applying. If you would like to give toward our Financial Aid program, please contact the front office at office@nhcky.org.

DO YOU HAVE UNIFORMS?
No. While NHCS has a dress code, we do not require uniforms.

ARE THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS ON SCHEDULES THAT ARE SEPARATE FROM THE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS?
Yes, elementary students have a schedule separate from the middle school students for recess, lunch and chapel.

WHAT DENOMINATION IS THE SCHOOL? ARE YOU ASSOCIATED WITH A CHURCH?
We are sponsored by Fellowship Baptist Church, but have students from most of the churches in our area. Many local churches are represented through the faculty at NHCS. You can visit Fellowship Baptist Church's website here: https://www.fbcky.org/

IS EXTENDED CARE AVAILABLE?
Yes. NHC students have care available from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for a fee. No minimum stay required.

DO YOU HAVE A PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES?
No. At this time, we do have not a special education program adequate to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. Administration considers situations on a case-by-case scenario.

DO YOU HAVE A LUNCH PROGRAM?
A healthy lunch is available every day. Parents have the option of pre-ordering lunch online.

DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE AN EMERGENCY DISASTER PLAN?
Yes, drills are conducted on a regular basis.

WHAT BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
Band, Piano, instrumental, and vocal lessons. (Private lessons)
Middle/High School – Boys’ Middle School Basketball, Co-ed Cross Country Boys' Soccer, Girls’ Volleyball, Boys' Basketball, Girls’ Basketball, Boys’ Baseball, Girls’ Softball, and Cheerleading.

DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE SUMMER PROGRAMS?
Yes, we have a Summer Day Camp for enrolled students in Grades K-8. This is a fun, non-academic camp for registered NHC students. Hours are 6 AM-6 PM. Meals and snacks included at $30 per day/per student.

DO STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN STANDARDIZED TESTING?
Yes, students in grades K-11 participate in a testing program. Our students consistently score above the national average for this test.

DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE OFF CAMPUS LEARNING EXPERIENCES?
Yes. Each grade has at least two off campus field trips per year, also the students may participate in the following special field trips.

DO HOME-SCHOOLED STUDENTS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ENROLL IN CLASSES AT THE NORTH CAMPUS?
Yes, home-schooled students may enroll for classes.

DOES THE SCHOOL PROVIDE BUS TRANSPORTATION?
Yes, private bus transportation is available to school families for a small fee.
